2014-12-10 8:12:22.000 PM kernel[0]: Darwin Kernel Version 14.0.0: Mon 24 Nov 2014 22:10:41 NZDT; durankeeley:xnu-2782.1.97-opemu1/BUILD/obj/RELEASE_X86_64

Installation Steps

1. Create ISO from Yosemite Installer App  from AppleStore.

2.  Install Yosemite on WS10 as is.  (no svga2 or vmware tool)

3.  Use WS10 to clone the Yosemite VM

4.  add Clone’s Virtual Hard drive to Original Yosemite’S VM.

5.  From the original VM,  use disk utility to create a DMG from the Clone’s Virtual Hard drive.

6.  copy the DMG over SMB network to Another . OS X Real machine.

7.  Restore The DMG to a hard drive that will be used for the AMD machine.

8.  Edit the restored Hard drive.

- rename /System/Library/Kerenels/Kernel  to ./kernel-oem

- copy patched kernel to it.

9.  install Loader Chameleon 2391  (the other loaders failed: chameleon 2380, 2510, clover 3033,2795)

in /Extra/Extensions: EVOreboot, FakeSMC, NullCpuPower, RTL8111 (Mieze)

IN SLE:  voodoohda (it will not load in /Exra/Extensions)

Audio Problem

Starting with voodoohda 2.8.6

- Quicktime play mov, mp4 in 2 ch ok,  iTunes play ok.,   VLC sound broken (ON/OFF at random)

- HPET was turn off in BIOS to stop kp on 0.9

- turn on HPET in bios, no kp in 10.10,  but as soon as attempt to output audio (dts,ac3) using encoded output, KP.

- change voodoohda to 2.8.4,  and turn off HPET in bios, kp stopped. VLC still not able to play audio.

- my AMD is connected to Cable's STB vis IEEE firewire. I was successful, in recording HD TV program with AVCBrowser and VLC without display.

- VLC is able to play  video and audio over udp stream.

- Switched to MPlayerX,  i was able to play audio in 2ch or DTS/AC3 5.1 without problem. (tested containers: mkv,mp4,mov,m2ts,mpg,avi,  wmv)

- Conclusion:  use VoodooHDA 2.8.4. with HPET off in bios, using MPlayerX for most video. QT for mov,mp4.

Note: Clover has option fix HPET, but i was never able to use any version of clover on my AMD.

Next Test: Transmission (known to cause kp in 10.10) and handbrake.

Transmission: need to limit dl rate to 200kbps to stop kp on public beta

withe Mieze’s Kext, now dl at over 1 mbps without kp.

Handbrake as good as always. OK

Graphic Problem

LOGIN: background, red and not semi transparent.

Icon Invisible.

FINDER: click on icon will not select item, need to change mode to  list, or click on title.

I will try to change graphic card, next week and reTest.

VMWARE FUSION 7:   copy VM from WS10,  Win7 OK, Ubuntu OK

10.9.4Vm and YosemiteVM will not start (lic issue)

Install VM from AppleStore OS X installer, Hang. (still try to install 10.9 or 10.10 vm)

Xcode 5 was OK on AMD 10.9.4, not tested in 10.10.1

Xcode 6 FAILED (compile an empty OS X app) still   result in  compile error.

mouse lag When USB drive is connected,  resume normally, after USB drive is removed.

Before Switch Graphic Card:

Switch kernels

Download : 3 other kernels, name it:  kernel-sp,  kernel-rc2 and kernel-tak (FX) ;  copy to /System/Library/Kernels

on Chameleon boot:  enter “/System/Library/Kernels/kernel-sp

1.

2014-12-12 9:48:27.000 PM kernel[0]: Darwin Kernel Version 14.0.0: So 23 Nov 2014 19:18:01 CET; mein:BSA_10.10_rc1_a/BUILD/obj/RELEASE_X86_64

(SAFARI  WILL NOT DISPLAY PAGE)

2.

on Chameleon boot:  enter “/System/Library/Kernels/kernel-rc2

2014-12-12 10:04:48.000 PM kernel[0]: Darwin Kernel Version 14.0.0: пятница, 14 ноября 2014 г. 01:13:03 (MSK); root:xnu-2782.1.97/BUILD/obj/RELEASE_X86_64

(SAFARI  WILL NOT DISPLAY PAGE)

3.

on Chameleon boot:  enter “/System/Library/Kernels/kernel-tak

will not boot

Install FUSION7  on a intel base machine,  no problem installing mavericks with 10.9.4.iso (created from AppStoreApp)

copy the VM over to AMD 10.10.1,  HANG on start.

There are no option for AMD virtualization .

Conclusion:  OS X vm will not run on current fusion version 7.

Graphic Problem:

Preview slow to display bitmaps images. (corrupted image at random)

I will assume, photoshop will be the same, not testing Photoshop.

Image can still be edited  via vmware->ubuntu-gimp

I will  reTest AMD with GT630 and ATI6450, tomorrow.

ReTested with at 6450:  on intel no flag needed,  on AMD net aticonfig Pithecia to load.

No difference with Core Image.  (LogIn: red invisible icon,  Finder, need to click on title to select item., preview image still slow)

Assume, it will  be the same,  NOT testing GT630.

Summary:

More than OK

- can play video with DTS/AC3 in full 6 channels to an AVR.

- can download without KP.

- can record HD TV shows from STB

- can play audio with iTunes,

- can use safari,

- can use apple store.

OK

- can edit image with ubuntu and gimp

- can use office with either Win7 or Linux

Not so Ok

no VM for OSX

no Xcode 6 yet

no Photoshop yet

Do not know

Games.

For my own use, it is more  than 100% useful.

For others, may not be.

Thus, conclude  my first test.

========================================

Theory

- Fusion 7 can install 2 copies of OS X , under mac lic.

- no cloning method

- have add device and hard drive option.

i hope someone will try the following and test my theory.

1.  create yosemite 10.10.2 from ISO created from AppStore Installer

2,  create MasterVM osx 10.10 from iso in Fusion 7

3,  creste clone VM be install yosemite again and use a different name (2nd copy of  OS X)

4,  add vm hard drive to master VM.

5.  delete clone VM. (go back down to 2 OS X disk)

6.  select master drive as starting disk for the master vm.

7.  boot and make  a dmg  from the clone's virtual hard drive.

8. copy dmg out to the host.

9. restore the dmg to a real hard drive.

if no one, want to test this,   i will try this  in 3 months times.
