Korred
So I'm *sure* something change, little just breaks because it feels like it one day. System: OSX 10.10.1 Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H i7 Ivy Bridge 32GB Ram MSI GeForce 780GTX Something-er-other Using nvidia web driver .02f01 Was running Clover from an EFI partition with minimal things installed, was happy as a clam. I believe I was on 2957-2976 (something in there, is there a way to check? I still have a backup of the old EFI partition). Known changes: * I had recently changed out my mouse drivers (switched from steermouse to Logitech's drivers) * Tried ##### 7.1.1 update to try and get my ALC898 working + trim (don't really need the ALC, I have a USB DAC I use instead) ** This installed ALC, AppleHDA, and the Trim Patch. I already had the latest FakeSMC installed in Clover KEXT area so didn't have it install to SLE Upon reboot I started to get: OsxAptioFixDrv: Starting overrides for \System\Library\CoreServices\boot.efi efiboot loaded from device: Acpi(PNP....) boot file path: \System\Library\CoreServices\boot.efi ..Loading kernel cache file 'System\Library\Caches\com.apple.kext.caches\Startup\kernelcache'... ................................root device uuid is '46628BD0-8319-3784-8A7E-FE7BD5EB11B0' OsxAptipFixDrv: Error - requested memory exceeds our allocated relocation block Requested mem: 42E8000 - 975FFFF, Pages: 5478, Size 5478000 Reloc block: 9F8FF000 - A8D75FFF, Pages: 9477, Size: 9477000 Reloc block can handle mem requests: 0 - 9476FFF Exiting in 30 secs... Error allocating 0x5478 pages at 0x000000000042e8000 Couldn't allocate runtime area (This is a snippet from someone else's error report though mine looks almost identical). I tried most of the following: * nvda_drv=0, slide=0 and other combinations of boot flags * Removing nvidia driver * aptio 2 test 3 After doing a few things I threw in an old installation of OSX so I could properly install the newest clover (at the time of writing r3050) to the EFI partition. After doing this and booting with a variety of options I finally got the system to start from the EFI partition without having to use any other USB loaders. -f -v slide=0 dart=0 nvda_drv=1 kext-dev-mode=1 Upon first boot I didn't have the nvidia drivers installed, I installed them, restarted smoothly and things were working. I installed the logitech mouse drivers again and it asked for a reboot, upon reboot I started to get the same errors as above again. Changing / tuning the fields doesn't work. Things that don't work / work: * DOESN'T: Booting clover from a USB selecting my partition (don't have FakeSMC on the usb so I'm not surprised this doesn't work, gets stood up by DSMOS) * WORKS: Using a USB Chameleon loader and booting my OSX partition.. I'm at a complete loss as to what to try / do / diagnose to discover what I might be missing about my Clover configuration that will help me return to the way it was. Other notes: My clover install USB disk always boots successfully which is running r3050 in MBR method. I have considered switching back from EFI to MBR I'm just not sure if I have to do anything other than rerun the installer and move the /Vol/EFI/EFI folder out of the way.. tips?
