I have a  Sony Vaio laptop, SandyBridge Intel core i3. So the problem occurs when I try to install Yosemite onto this laptop which is already running OS X 10.9 (Niresh Distro). I've downloaded the Yosemite Install app from the Mac App Store and made a bootable usb through terminal commands. The installation goes on to a point which says "Failed to Load IntelSNBGraphics.kext Couldn't allocate class" and Failed to install Intel HD3000 Graphics. Finally the on screen text gets scrambled and I get "Still waiting for root device" message. I don't have any free space on my HDD and I plan to overwrite onto my Mavericks partition. SATA port cannot be the issue here because I already have a version of OS X running on the laptop. Using Clover bootloader. Tried chameleon as well but no good. I've had success previously trying to install Yosemite DP 1 onto this laptop but had to remove it as it had a lot of graphic artefacts and was barely unusable.

Do i have to disable any kexts or something like that? I dont have a DSDT patch btw
