n2nn2n
I'm hoping someone can help. After running Toleda's script and fixing Audio for ALC898 with clover under Yosemite 10.10.1, the audio is working....Thank you. But strange thing, under SYSTEM > SOUND, the list of "Name" for the Output and Input shows up in a different language. I think it's Russian? Any chance to get it back to English? Thanks
toleda
Any chance to get it back to English? The script does not touch localization files; an incomplete and non native AppleHDA.kext was patched. Only way to get native AppleHDA.kext is to run the Yosemite installer. n2nn2n
That's what I had thought so I deleted the appleHDA.kext that was installed, rebooted and installed the appleHDA.kext I had extracted from the Yosemite installer. Ran the ALC script and still foreign language Tried deleting, rebooting and running the Yosemite 10.10.1 update .... still can't get rid of foreign language I looked in the info.plist of the AplleHDA.kext and it shows language being english. So the other thought you mentioned was that it was incomplete. Does that mean I need to run the full installer to fix this? Thx
n2nn2n
got it resolved. dug back and found the original kext from the initial install. For some reason the kext extracted using Pacifist did not work.
toleda
For some reason the kext extracted using Pacifist did not work. Stopped working with Mavericks. Requires extracting AppleHDA.kext from 3 packages in the installer and merging the files for a complete AppleHDA.kext.
