USB issue when waking from sleep

Hey Guys,

I hope this is an easy fix.  Newer build, recently upgraded from Mavericks, which ran 100% flawlessly.  There were no issues with anything.  Sleep worked, waking from sleep worked, rebooting worked, everything was great!  Then, I decided to upgrade to Yosemite.

I was running a pure vanilla install of Mavericks, no DSDT.  Same goes for Yosemite, no DSDT, or anything like that.  The issue is almost every single time I put the computer to sleep, when I wake it back up, the mouse always works, the audio works 99% of the time, but my keyboard (basic Apple aluminum USB keyboard) needs to be disconnected, then reconnected in order for it to start working again.  It's quite annoying!

Beyond that, I simply can not get the system to reboot properly either for some reason.  I think I have the evoreboot kext installed, which I don't recall ever needing on Mavericks, but it still is giving me issues.   I'm really tempted to just say forget Yosemite and reinstall everything back in Mavericks, but I do have the system running and configured how I like, so, there is that.

The only piece of advice I've found related to this is to set 'Internal CPU PLL Overvoltage to disabled in BIOS'.  I've found  a couple mentions of this with the searching I've done, but I do not see this option listed in my BIOS settings.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!  Thanks in advance!

Having the same issue with my Gigabyte board (GA-Z77X-UP4 TH), no issues on Mavericks, but same behavior on Yosemite. Was thinking it was my keyboard, since I purchased it shortly before upgrading to 10.10, but seems I may not be the only one. Did you have any luck finding a solution?

Give this one a try. I mean using the method that I explained, SleepWatcher unloads USB related kexts and reloads 'em after wake from sleep. In my case USBEHCI and USBEHCI kexts were problematic so you need to modify sleep and wake files which you can find in this link.in order to unload and reload the kexts that cause problem.
