Sonne_1989
EDIT: I've seen you have some fail in your Framebuffer patch. I've analyze your config.plist and i think you have to many numbers. Look here. Thats the Framebuffer you have written: 020000000001000009010000100000050 000400000403000000010000110201004 000400000403000000010000210302020 000400000001000000091000120403003 10000000100000000001000000100408 And so it must be: 02000000000100000901000010000005 00040000040300000001000011020104 00040000040300000001000021030202 00040000000100000009100012040303 10000000100000000001000000100408 So it can be that Hydrilla also take affect for but perhaps you write false numbers? And your patch for as example is wrong because your senseid doesn't match. Here test with my Hydrilla option to get all Ports activate. Original: 02000000000100000901000012040303 00040000040300000001000011020101 00040000000100000009100021030202 00040000000100000009100022050504 00040000040300000001000010000405 Patched: 02000000400000000901010010000101 00040000040300000001020011020204 00040000040300000001030021030302 00040000040300000001040012040403 10000000100000000001050010000508 Your SenseID and so on are the same so you can use this values. youngwake
Yes i patch my own. I've tried with other Framebuffer and it works also good. What do you mean with inject EDID? In clover the EDID under graphics options which create automatical? Hi, follow this thread http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/208410-fixing-scrambledstretched-or-wrong-resolution-laptop-display-problems/ that's what I used to stop the video gittery. Thanks for looking at my config. I haven't booted up with the new patches you gave me, but I will post shortly. UPDATE: I am getting black screen with your patch. Maybe because I have 1366x768 screen?
Sonne_1989
Maybe i dont no I use your config.plist and getting also graphic activation. But now iam using my config with Hydrilla and i got all working. Also QE/CI i mean
youngwake
can you post the config you are using now? UPDATE: Using your patch, lotus works, but I just tested VGA, which works but the colors are off. In display settings, it is showing as Internal Display and Built-in Display...that can't be right! UPDATE: DisplayPort works. Full QE/CI with Lotus. VGA works, but color is mismatched.
youngwake
Could you take a look at my config and personalities. Hydrilla does work, but with Displayport. It is however being detected as the internal monitor which is only giving me the resolution of my laptop's monitor on the external monitor. The laptop is 1366x768 max resolution while the external is capable of 1080p. Any ideas?
Sonne_1989
When iam home i post my config. QeCI works full. Edit So new interesting. Ive tried with lotus for you. Ive full working qeci on both vga and lvds with different Resolution. And this all without any patched framebuffer. I dont understand

Sonne_1989
No i have rebuild the kernel cache. So it it is no option. But i dont now at this time if i patch the amd6000controller direct without clover. It is a long time ago :-) i will check this :-) I post you my efi folder and my amdcontroller kext I mean it is the edid. Since i have inject the custom edid with clover all works. Maybe you dont need to patch the fb with an custom edid. I dont now. It seems so. I dont understand. But what i think is that you dont need to patch fb for vga because hydrilla works on vga without patching kext. At the begining of inject ati at my laptop the vga works

youngwake
Hello, so I removed AMD6000Controller Patch from config.plist, but still loading video bios. Acceleration still works just fine. Haven't tested external displays. did you manage to get brightness adjustment?

youngwake
Share Share Hello Nick, do you need help with something specific? also which laptop model do you have? Brightness control dont work and wlan...But it is an Intel wlan...all other seems to be working... What was wrong in your config? I am not exactly sure. But brightness is now working in my system along with other stuff as well. No i am trying to figure out AICPM and AICPMC kexts. with these two installed, I get black screen. Do you have them installed?
vusun123
My friend has the exact same model as you Youngwake. I can confirm that the black screen without NullCPUPowerManagement is a Clover issue, not PBI. Also the patch you guys were using, although true to the theory but in real-life situation doesn't work ( gradient issue as in earlier pics ). Also do you guys notice that the LVDS color is set to 16bit and not 32bit ?

So it works in Chameleon type bootloaders? also, your friend, does he/she have running osx? I would like to get some insights on whats working. About the color bit, i have not checked nor noticed. However, I have notice that without the AMD6000controller patch in clover, i do not have hotplug VGA. I would have to restart with VGA inserted for it to be detected. But with the patch it is hotpluging, although the image color is terrible with the patch.

Yes he still has OS X installed, and still using 10.10.1 perfectly. I haven't tested Chameleon yet, but people who have other AMD GPU on their laptops have reported that without NullCPU they can boot in just fine, so that is a bug in Clover. The problem is that with how the patch is handled normally, LVDS will have gradient issue, with proper changes it will be normal, but the color bit stays at 16bit due to EDID cannot be injected properly. He told me that the issue lies in the LVDS's sense id, he randomly change it to 5, and use Custom EDID ( have to modify it to fit the EDID standard ) along with Inject EDID, and the problem's gone. If you want I will upload the config.plist that works best for my friend's laptop

I say this because as of right now, I am not using any custom EDID and I get full acceleration QE/CI with my low-res 1366x786. As long as color depth is concerned, I can confirm that I have 32-bit. I got this information from Display Maestro. and yes please share the config.plist I have everything working now, brightness and all. But now is time to figure out the whole AICPM. I will try chameleon today and see if that happens. Does anyone have the vanilla AICPM and AICPMC kexts for 10.10.1? if so can you post? I accidentally deleted mine out the trash-bin.
