Hello there,

I'm trying to get started running a hackintosh for the first time ever, and I've gotten in a bit over my head..

System:

Mobo: asus x99 deluxe

Processor: 5960x

RAM: 16gb g.skillz ddr4 2666MHz

Hard drive: crucial m100 256GB

Video card: MSI gtx980

extras: Asus thunderbolt card, sonnet fw800 card

I tried creating a ##### installer USB, but the new computer doesn't recognize it as a bootable device. I tried creating a clover USB, but I think I'm missing some key information about how to get it set up and running, as I got it to make it to the black screen with the circle with a line through it, but no farther.

I realize that I have bitten off a lot here, and it's going to take some more time to get it right, but if anyone can spare some time to help me out, I would greatly appreciate any advice or pushes in the correct direction. I think I'd prefer to go the clover route, if at all possible, as that seems the most flexible solution for my needs.

Many thanks!
