I installed Mavericks in VirtualBox, downloaded Yosemite, made a bootable USB and I can't boot after I see the UI bootloader. I tried with "UniStuff" / Clover / Chameleon / MacPwn / myHack, nothing worked. I tried with Niresh, iAtkos, nothing worked. I tried five USB sticks and three laptops (one is at the office, I don't really know its specifications, but I know the others). The system keeps rebooting. I configured everything that needs to be changed in BIOS and I tried several boot flags, starting with the cute -x -v, -f, -F, npci=0x2000, etc. ....... and culminating with the creepy kext-dev-mode=1 or IGPlatformID=01660003 dart=0 (found for my very type of HD Graphics) Yes, I did tried them one at a time and I double checked my double check about whether I forgot or typed something wrong. I am struggling with this for more than two weeks and I'm quite a bit late with my deadlines, so please, if anyone has an idea, write me. I just need a decent system with ethernet and Xcode. George Netu Posted November 7, 2014 Author Share Posted November 7, 2014 I managed to install mavericks on a separate HDD from a friend's Mac, install specific kexts for my hardware and boot safe mode with PCIRoot=1.
