Hello everyone!

so installing Yosemite via Clover and got past a few issues thanks to the awesome people here, but now its stuck at something

It gets stuck here (i also tried to install Mavericks with similar result)

FakeSMC, NullCPUPowerManagement.kext and the network driver all in the 10.10 folder

Have kext-dev-mode-1 enabled

GA-Z97N-WIFI (UEFI Enabled)

16 Gigs Ram

i5 4690k

Samsung 840 Pro SSD (bare drive, no OS)

Using the HD4600 on board, no discrete video card (yet)

I have a DSDT in the "patched" folder but without it it gets stuck on another string

I have a feeling this fix is something I'm just missing, but you guys know way more than I do as this is my first hack

thanks for the help!

Hello

Did you make your usb bootbale with Clover and selected Install for UEFI mobos in Clover opitions?

If yes, did you choose some DrivesUEFI for your usb boootable?

Try boot in safe mode, press [space] in clover screen and select safe mode, if this doens't work try remove all Intel graphic kexts... make backup of this before remove.

I'm curious about where you got your DSDT file.

MAJ

Honestly, i don't remember. I may have found it searching for answers with the UEFI booting from clover and thought it may help as I'm figuring all of this out for the first time.

But after more research and trial/error, I went back to legacy and got it to install with really no issues.

So as of now, it boots with the USB drive in, i installed the ethernet Kext so now i have internet.

I need to figure out why bluetooth isn't loading and how to get the thing to boot without the USB drive in

  • 2 weeks later...

OK so i got a Geforce GTX780 from a friend

Installed fine and worked until a bluetooth issue forced me to redo the entire system

Have any advice/ideas/setups for UEFI or Legacy setups?  Since the redo i can't seem to get the right settings to install 10.10 again (i tried both and had issues)

thanks for the help
