ok so I posted this over at tonyquack and never got a response actually out of 40+ posts (over 2 years) I only ever got one reply and that was because I said it was dumb that ##### is so restrictive, even then it was a generic "because we are so smart and you owe us everything"............

has to be one of the worst forums I have ever seen, all the eliteisum and hush hus don't upset apple, apple dont care..

Rant over... haha

Hi all,
I'm running yosemite and fcp 10.1.3 on a

Core 2 quad

Gigabyte EP41T-USB3 HackPro, 4GB DDR3, 2.5TB Storage.

Graphics
ASUS GTX 550 Ti Cu 1GB OC'ed 910MHz

Now I've done a clean install and used migrate assistant from my old mavericks disk, the machine locks up a lot and I get the "graphics error has occurred". BS

This normally isn't a problem but ever time I try to export from Final Cut Pro it quits and gives me that crappy error.

I have spent the last 3 days making this project only to find out that the BLODDY thing won't export :/

I've made a new account and the system runs OK (not so many errors) BUT fcp still quits whilst exporting

Ever since I did migration from my old disk the system had been running funny, first boot (before transferring files) the system ran perfect but it's been getting worse and worse. Boot has gone from 15 seconds on apple screen to 10 minutes.

I've rolled back (can't remember the name) a kext that was causing 3 hour boots

Any normal situation is just format and start again but I have 3 days of work sitting here and a deadline to get it out by...

Edit:

Ok so I just sat here and clicked ignore every 3 minutes while exporting got to 98% and the screen goes all black :/ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I installed using ##### and ##### (charmeilion boot loader)

Thanks

First of all, change your topic name to something helpful.

Then rewrite your post. It took me a while to see that you are having problems with final cut pro. Maybe you should mention that first.

I would suggest a fresh install using clover bootloader and getting rid of all that {censored} from sites that we don't talk about here.

Good luck

Sorry haha I was quite flustered haha

Ok so I'm re installing osx, when I went to format under disk utility I got "error canot open device" I clicked erase again and it worked. Thought this is weird..

Currently installing osx again on a clean partition (I'm still using a tonyquack usb).

To get to the installer I had to use

PCIRootUID=1 (but I only have one pcie slot, 0 gives black screen)

GraphicsEnabler=Yes (nvidia card, black screen if no)

Whilst in disk utility I get odd graphics glitches, when typing a partition name..

Gpu runs perfect under windows, and the Pcb looks fine (no bad caps, ram doesn't look burnt up,

I just got an error whilst installing, cannot open essentials.pkg

:/

Ok so I've reinstalled successfully :) just installed clover, just one question how do I add boot flags to clover?

Thank you
