Hi all. I would be your resident thickie, because even though I have managed to get OS X running on one heck of a complication I can not figure out something oh so simple (he says, sounding stupid).

So basically I have installed OS X using Clover. I have installed all of the .kexts I need to get it working, and I need these boot flags in the arguments setting of Clover.

npci=0x3000 kext-dev-mode=1 PCIRootUID=0

Now I just can not figure out how I add these permanently so that I don't need to keep adding them every time I boot. I've tried Google, but sadly it seems you need to know what you are doing as it mentions a EFI folder I can't seem to find.

Can some one please put this in laymen's terms for me so I can finally finish my Hackintosh?

It's been a long, gruelling road on this one and I really want it done and dusted.

TIA

Sorry I had some lag and got a DP. Can you remove the other please?

Ah, noticed a mistake in the OP. I installed using #####, and then used Clover for the boot loader and so on. I can't use ##### it kills my install.

All I need to do is get those arguments in permanently but I just can't figure out how.

/noob.

Edit again.. Hardware.

Intel E5 V2 prototype Ivy 8 core 16 thread.

4gb dual channel 2333mhz ram

Gigabyte X79 UD3 Rev 1.1

AMD Radeon R9 290 (running prototype driver for Bonaire.)

60gb Kingston SSD (OSX)

3x32gb Intel Enterprise SSD in RAID 0 (will be Windows, OS X won't see it)

160gb storage drive (hard wired)

2x hot swap bays (soon to take 2tb each)

Soundblaster XFI Fatal1ty FPS PCI (Windows)

Soundblaster XFI USB (OSX)

Firewire 400 card (both)

I think that's about it. Basically it's my first Hackintosh so I decided to make it mine as it were.. I'll try and post a couple of pics if I'm allowed.

I installed using an Xed out installer, but I can't run the Xed out thing so I have to use Clover. The Xed out thing kills my install. I can't install using Clover either, it crawls. It's the CPU. It was very hard finding a kext that made it work but IIRC I went Voodoo and all 8c 16t work.

Pic. I call it X8, or times eight.

It's not so much errors. I pretty much have it where i want it to be, only I need to keep manually adding the boot arguments above every single time I boot.

And thanks for the compliment. This is my first Mackintosh and I've really enjoyed building it. Might go with the trash can route for the next one :D

And yeah, TonyMac tools leave a lot to be desired it would seem.
