Hello,

Been lurking and decided to take the plunge into a hackintosh. My hardware Asus G74SX Bios 203 fresh install of windows 7 UEFI enabled in bios. Nvidia GTX 560M 16GB ram, 2 750GB HDD.

Ive been following the guide from the genius bar by pokenguyen..

-Ive created the thumb drive partitioned with Clover(FAT)and Untitled(MAC OS ext journeled) MBR.

-Utilized Vietnam tool and selected sandy bridge mobile for cpu, nvidia for GPU, and SST is custom from rehab mans ssdt.zip with the name shortened to ssdt.aml

-I boot into the Clover Boot ROM, select install and get the blank screen. I went back tried different configurations and get the same result. I did try the boot flag verbose and all the configs get the same result:

efiboot loaded from device: Acpi(PNP0A03,0)/PCI(1C|3)/PCI(0)/Usb(2, 0)/HD(Part2,Sig000000)

boot file path:

I cant type anything with a usb keyboard or my laptop keyboard. Where am I going wrong? Attached is a couple screen shots...

I appreciate any and all help. New to the hackintosh idea and following the guides and spent 5 hours trying to wrap my head around this.

Hi Pimentel,

Thanks for the replying!

My cpu is a sandybridge i7 2670qm. I selected sandy ridge mobile in Vietnam tool. I have tried others and get the same result.

I'm not sure where the OS X is looking like SL or ML perhaps that's the issue but I know I am trying to install Mavericks and have th mavericks.app on the other partition of the usb drive.

As for the video card 560m not being supported, I had Mavericks installed using another program made by a guy tony however, it would only boot with the usb so I found this method on insanely Mac which seems much better. The video card I had to use nv_disable=1 to install Mavericks and boot but once in Mavericks I successfully installed the nvidiA driver and had no issues. Granted I didn't utilize the system much being it would only boot with usb. I may need to look further into that once I get it going.

So where do I go from here? I'm no programmer but it seems when I select install mavericks from the clover boot menu and use -v in the boot flag I get a hung command almost like it's asking where do you want me to find the installer. I'm probably way off but that's what that error in -v seems to me.

Hello

I recommend that you use a retail OSX version....

Try the image of olarila's forum, it's great.

Select OSX 10.9.5 bootable image in Donwload secto, donwload the image, follow the guie to copy the image to usb stick and have fun :)

You need disable Nvdia graphic in Bios...

Hi Pimentel,

I'm not sure what you mean by retail version of OSX. I have the mavericks install.app from a genuine mac downloaded through itunes.

As for the olarila's image, I'm unable to utilize torrents at the moment so that isn't a feasible option unless I can download it from a website or drop box kinda deal.

Perhaps theres something wrong with clover and where its looking for the install file on the usb stick?

Hi Pimentel,

Thank you again for your continued support helping me. The link you referenced for the guide to try is exactly the guide I am following. The link #6 "Installing mavericks with clover UEFI" is what I've been utilizing.

Have you or anyone else seen the error I received in the second picture I uploaded in the first post? Im not a cod ereader so not sure what that means to begin fixing it.

Thank you all for any and all help!

Alright so I've made some progress and learned some things......

First I discovered the previous issue I had with the boot file to be because I used the wrong clover.zip files. I was copying the extras folder from the latest clover boot loader and not using the pre patched ones talked about in the guide. Once I got all that cleared up I got a different install screen background and tried to install.

I was unsuccessful and it hung at the apple screen before the installer. Reading the recovery/partition method may cause computers to lock up on that screen I utilized the directions as instructed 2-6 for chameleon legacy bios. Made the Installer ESD, followed them through the pacifist procedure then put it on the root section of the usb installer.

I ran into the same issue so used the boot flag -v to see whats going on. It seems to be hanging at this part shown in the picture. I'm not entirely sure what that is that is causing it but perhaps it will make since to some one else that knows way more then I do and maybe with any luck I can fix it to be able to install.

Thanks for reading and any help is appreciated!

Hello

Use legacy mode please :) I thought that you have UEFI mobo.

Other this problem is about graphic issue....

Try boot with: -x -v -f

If it doesn't work remove all intel graphic kext from folder S/L/E. Use transmac for this job.
