Teledan Posted October 31, 2014 Share Posted October 31, 2014 Hello Everyone, I am making my first manual dsdt edits to enable DP and HDMI audio from my Graphics card and I am a little confused. I was able to install the OS X Realtek ALC onboard audio with Clover file and my audio from my motherboard is working fine. Make sure you are booting with kext-dev-mode=1 (I assume you are considering fakesmc requires it) 1. Download link 2. Open dmg 3. Place HDMIAudio.kext on desktop 4. Download and/or open your kext installation tool (I use one from a place a can not mention here, but there are others) 5. Use said tool to install kext 6. Open terminal 7. Rebuild kext cache by using: sudo kextcache -m /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup/Extensions.mkext /System/Library/Extensions 8. Specs are as follows: Gigabyte z87-UD4H Motherboard Samsung 840 Evo SSD Nvidia Geforce GTX760 Graphics Card 32 Gigs of Corsair Vengence LP RAM Haswell i5 unlocked processor Fractal Define Design r4 case ASus DVD-RW Is that enough? The Jamice Posted August 14, 2016 Share Posted August 14, 2016 I have an MSI GE70 2PE Laptop with a GTX860M Nvidia Video Card and a Intel 4600HD Video Card. I was wondering if you can get my all my audio ports working. I am currently using VoodooHDA all my speakers and microphones work. But none of my side audio ports work including my headphone jack, my microphone jack and my HDMI port. Could you please edit my dsdt.aml file. I am on El Capitan 10.11.6. Do I need to install the AppleHDA kext file first? Please help me and tell me everything you need from me to get my ports work. I currently have my I/O reg and my dsdt.aml file in the zip file.
