thedubiousdubber
This has actually been a persistent issue that I've never fixed. It isn't new to 10.10 or my switch to Clover from Chameleon. My BluRay drive always opens on boot and I can't seem to figure out why. I usually keep a blank disc in it to prevent it from trying to run/read every 2 minutes (which it always does when its empty). Anyone else have a similar issue or a fix for this?

thedubiousdubber
I hadn't thought of that. I can give it a try, but I only have 2 sata3 ports. I have one hooked to ssd for mac and the other to ssd for windows. I'd hate to have to switch my windows ssd to sata 2, but given how often I use it, it may be worth it to fix the issue. MAC IN TOSH
don't know if I am on the right post, but could someone tell me how can I get my Disc Drive working on Yosemite? Actually I had a kext for that since Snow Leopard and it worked really well in Mavericks too. Now since my HDD's board was burnt, I couldn't get that file out nor I remember the name of that kext. Could anyone help me please. It is IDE connected but set as AHCI in BIOS
