Hi all!

I have:

- yosemite

- gygabyte mainboard with 2700k with UEFI bios

- ATI 5770 with Monitor (hdmi) and Projector (display port)

- smbios MacPro 10.2

- DSDT for UEFI pathced for hdmi audio out with display port

- Clover

On every reboot mission controll auto-add one virtual desktop.

After 10 reboot i will see 11 desktops created...

What is the problem? exist a clover fix? Anyone have this problem?

Yes, I'm experiencing this along with mirrored mode before login.  I have a friend who has this problem without the mirror mode problem too.  He is using integrated graphics.

EDIT: Out of curiosity, are those of you with this problem using multiple monitors with HDMI?  Both myself and my friend are both using HDMI and seeing this issue.

Hello,

Same problem here (new desktop after each reboot).

2 monitors, one on display port and the other one on DVI so no HDMI for me.

Clover 2976, iMac 14.2

Z97X-UD5H

GTX 980 G1 Gaming

i7 4790k

Hmm...HDMI/Display Port might both be causing issues.  I will test later if this is a problem when just using 2 displays with DVI.

I also have same issue, extended display using a TV over HDMI. The main monitor it's on DVI. I also noticed that sometimes when you make an application full screen, it goes to the last virtual Desktop in line....so you have to either scroll multiple desktops or move manually the application desktop upfront. :)

Yosemite is still full of bugs, it was't supposed to be "final" just yet, same as with IOS 8.

Greetings all. This problem persists even on real Macs. The root of the problem and the fix is easy. It seems if you are using PCI GFX as your main display in conjunction with internal graphics, you will get a new desktop space for EVERY monitor you have plugged in after a restart. Meaning if you have 3 displays, 2 extra will appear every restart. To solve this simply move the MenuBar in Monitor Arrangement to IGPU and no more multiple Desktop spaces. The downside is you have your IGPU as your main and not your significantly more powerful PCI GFX.

This might be the problem for some of us, but my friend has only internal GFX and has this problem. No discrete.

EDIT: So I did a fresh re-install using iMac13,2 and only discrete graphics.  I'm getting mirrored displays before login, but no more extra spaces.  I have no idea why.

I'm starting to think it has something to do with the fact that before, I was playing with IGPU and Discrete GFX, and in the process of doing that something got screwed up in my install.  No idea...

I have the same problem and when i unchecked in mission control 'Display have separate Spaces' solved the problem.

Maybe it's mission control bug !

I have another problem in launchpad, if i create a group of apps and i want to delete it after some time it disappeared but

after reboot it appears again !

Have someone the same problem?

How to solve this?
