So the source has just been released.

https://opensource.apple.com/release/os-x-1010/

With this release I want to do things a bit different:

  • Topic ONLY for releases of kernels, this will make it easier to find kernels in the forum.
  • Topic ONLY for the testing of a kernel, when a release of a kernel gets posted on the other topic inform this topic of the release and post findings here.
I am also thinking of posting a topic on the building of each kernel release listing the:
  • Dependancies
  • Kernel Version
  • Post the diffs for each release.
Let me know if that would be something the testers would be keen on having.

First Test kernel released by theconnactic

Meanwhile, try this: attachicon.gifkernel.zip

Based on Bronzovka's kernel 10.9.2 diff - don't remember exactly with version, since I rename it a long time ago. I comment out some lines, and also added the tsp.c from Almir's repository for Bronzovka's kernel, and also added a Driver folder inside iokit to accommodate some files that were rejected when I applied the patch. Also removed platforms.h. All in all, I really don't expect it to work, but test it anyway. Diff coming soon.

P.S.: Yosemite boots with kernel cache instead of mach_kernel. So you must replace the stock kernel with the one I posted, and rebuild the kernel cache. Good luck!

REPORTS:

I tried yours kernel , don't working , black screen after loading kexts ... :(

Thank you for reporting! :) Tested on FX or K10/older?

On FX with and without flags : fsb= and busratio= ....

I must have commented out something important ! :) Back to the drawing board!

@francescophp

kernel is not yet created, so there is nothing to test at the moment. We hope that soon will be, but thank you for your willingness

My kernel isn't working yet: that's because I mostly adapted an older diff from Bronzovka so it patches successfully the 10.10 open source XNU kernel. I would be a long shot for it to simply work as is, without a thorough research on how it should work on our machines. I bet Bronzovka will have a working solution way faster than I can possibly do, due to his superior skills and my lack of spare time...

All the best!

You seem to be the first with a kernel thats public, working or not.

But, for example, i saw that bronya already did a kernel .. So what's the problem?

then contact Bronya if you want the kernel.

Hi. Im just wondering if the problem loading the Kext is related to this http://www.cindori.org/trim-enabler-and-yosemite/

it seems apple implemented a new kext signing security system that will not load modified kext unless the security is disabled. is anyone aware of this?

Yeah you need to add the boot argument "kext-dev-mode=1" with out the quotes.

No I was just thinking and I am hopeful, the problem is that I do not understand why you have so many problems other developers

But I'm not criticizing anyone, I love your work and you are the heart of the community hackintosh amd, thank you!

(I think is useless ask to Bronya, i'll only trouble him, when i'll finish the kernel, i hope he'll release it)

It's already implemented in the latest chameleon bootloader by chris1111 http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/301138-new-usb-installer-os-x-yosemite-chameleon-r2456-v2/?p=2064388

Works only with Yosemite ! It won't work with 10.8 or 10.9

But, for example, i saw that bronya already did a kernel .. So what's the problem?

Just be patient !!

it may be that the kernel is not fully tested..??? so maybe the reason why he has not yet released it..... or for whatever reason also ??
