I only ticked OsxAptioFixDrv-64.

  • EmuVariableUefi-64 (try without this first, if NVRAM works then don't use it)
  • OSxAptioFixDrv-64 (if you want to try Hibernate, select OSxAptioFix2Drv-64)
  • PartitionDXE-64

You should install HFSPlus-64 too. It is not in the installer. Download it and place in drivers64UEFI directory and delete VBoxHFS.

Also, if you are installing clover in your HDD, select "Install RC scripts".

Thanks Robin, never actually got it to work, though i didn't try unticking EmuVariableUefi-64. ended up installing a GTX 960 card, and now it works flawlessly.  Now onto installing windows 10 on a seperate hd for my dual boot.

I think it has to do with graphics injection for the internal GFX. Great that it works now. :)

successfully installed dual boot windows 10 / yosemite 10.10.3.  only issue is I can't get osx to shut down properly.  Every time i shutdown in osx it shutdowns for a few seconds then restarts.  Anyone know what I can do to fix?

Hello, I feel I very nearly succeed to install Clover, after many adventures (a crazy keyboard in the shell). I have a last problem, I can't choose any disk on clover, I think it's a simple problem but I don't know what, any idea ?  :) EMcc5rZ.jpg?1

Do your drives show up in BIOS?

I think so, otherwise I couldn't boot on clover which is on the same HD than my hackintosh (or maybe that the screen was the USB Clover, it's possible). But whatever the reason, I have all restarted from zero and the problem didn't come back. But this time, I don't know how to activate my Atheros AR8151, it's frustrating because I know I knew but I forgot and because It just works witch chimera (but not uefi)
In fact, my goal is to make a fusion drive Hackintosh with Clover for iMessage and accessible updates, for instance I just have a fusion drive on chimera on ML edit : Thank you for this guide, I finally succeed by following it except I didn't take the modified config.plist ✔️✔️✔️

PS : does anybody know how to delete all the ghosts UEFI in bios ? I have 4 useless choices. (edit : it's pretty simple in fact : bcfg boot rm boot 1)

Hi, thank you for the guide, it's perfect. I follow your guide and I followed your guide and I installed OS X satisfactorily. However I have a problem with the audio. I installed the drivers and apparently it works good but, for example, when I'm watching a youtube video, after watching the video for a while the audio begins to lag. Then I have to restart chrome if I want watch videos without lag. I've tried with safari and firefox and still I have the same issue.

CPU: i7 4774k

MB: asrock z97 pro4

GPU: GTX 770 2GB

Sorry for my english.

Thank you!

Has someone noticed audio latency in any video?

Hey guys,

I can't really offer any tech support for questions, but I can tell you what worked for me to get native audio working. I was using a VoodooHDA Kext that worked, but had terrible lag. Videos would take up to 15-20 seconds to start as the audio caught up. Strange solution, but it seemed to work. I went hunting for a way to make our ALC892s work natively, and stumbled upon this thread:

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/298663-applehda-for-yosemite/page-1

Now, what I did to get audio working was:

  • Remove VoodooHDA or any other current kext fix, rebuild cache and permissions using Kext Utility
  • Open current config.plist in Clover Configurator
  • In the "Kernel and Kext to Patch" section, go to the "Kexts to Patch" portion, highlight anything mentioning "ALC892" and use the "-" button to remove them. Save the config and restart
  • Once restarted, you should have no audio as it's not recognizing an output device
  • From the thread above, in the "Desktop"s, download AppleHDA-272.18.1-ALC892.zip and HDAEnabler5.kext.zip
  • Unzip both, and install the kexts using Kext Utility. Give it a minute to rebuild caches and permissions, reboot, and you should have audio up and running

Edit: This is for YOSEMITE ONLY as designated in the original thread

Thanks for the guide works great, but I have just a few issues. Firstly, I can't get audio to work at all. I used the kext you provided and placed it in EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.10.

My second issue is when I reboot, which happens without a problem , after booting into Yosemite I get an error that my computer was restarted because of a problem. It looks like a kernel panic.

My last issue is waking from sleep isn't working. I have my bios options setup correctly.

Edit: Came across one other issue. A shutdown results in a restart.

Managed to fix the issue with the incorrect shutdown. This was fixed by installing the web drivers even though the graphics were working fine. I can also now shut down though a move of the mouse causes a boot up.

Still need to fix the audio and find what causes the boot up when moving the mouse.

My system — ASRock h97 pro4, i5-4590 with a GT 740 OC. Other than these issues, it runs great. Thanks in advance for any help.

I am trying El Capitan with a z97e-itx and an i3-4360 w/ hd4600 but not stable.  I have sleep turned off, but it still panics and restarts if let unused for 10 minutes.  I can't successfully shutdown without a panic either.  I have the settings exactly same as the post but with El Capitan.  I haven't tried Yosemite, since I don't have it available, but may try mavericks.

Any help?  The panic is : "Kernel stack memory corruption detected"

Right now I'm leaning towards graphic issues (which I can troubleshoot with a dedicated 7850 when I get more time) or the memory.  I've tried new memory sticks (2x4gb both times) and changed the BIOS settings around, but still having the issue.  I have audio working though.  Any one have any ideas?

@rednous I tried downloading your config.plist but it is no longer available. I was looking to use it to compare it to mine to see if there is a reason my sleep is still not working. My PC gets all the way asleep and then the PC powered back up but the monitors stay off (They wake back up when pressing a key on the keyboard. (but not the mouse. weird.)). Could you repost your config.plist so I can take a look at it. Or you can check and see if there is any difference between ours? Thanks!

Thanks - I have been struggling to get my ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3/i5 2500k/ Geforce 760  - to boot from SSD (Samsung Evo 960) using the UEFI with Clover. By following your guide it made my day - and everything is now booting without USB-key.
