sebus
That does not relate to hack only, as I tried it also on a real MacBook. Server 2012 R2 with ReFS volume on Storage Spaces with smb share Yosemite can not write files > 4Gb (claims that destination can not write files of this size) via smb:// Writing to NTFS share (on same server, also with Storage Spaces, but NTFS format) is no problem. Bug? sebus
madmax14304
sebus, I have the exact same issue on my brand new 2014 iMac. What I found is that when I mount a ReFS Samba Share, OS X sees it as "FAT." There is no such issue with NTFS. No work around as of yet. Migrating from ReFS back to NTFS is a nightmare. mwahlert
I too am having this issue. Windows 8.1 Update with a mirror pool running REFS. Yosemite thinks it is a FAT file system and won't allow me to copy files over 2GB. Show stopper... I've tried to configure an NFS server on the Windows box as an alternative, but have been unsuccessful as of yet.

sebus
ReFS is a problem for many many things, Windows based NFS server will not run correctly from ReFS volume, imdisk driver will not mount iso from ReFS share etc So not only Mac related issue, ReFS is just a total c***p sebus
