luki1979
I installed drivers for my USB sound card and now it won't boot without kext-dev-mode=1. The same with atheros enabler kext. That is final 10.10 Yosemite. Anybody experienced the same problem?
Mr. Xtreme
Not a problem just apple making the OS more "Secure" notice what that boot flag says it means kernel extension (kext) loading inĀ developer mode yes.
luki1979
Ok thanks. Apple being Apple.
Huckleberry Pie
What's next? Apple checking for third-party bootloaders, FakeSMC and whatnot? Sure enough, Apple seems complacent about their operating system's security/DRM, but I sometimes worry about our Hackintosh days being put to a halt for every new version they release. ikingblack
What about third-party signed kexts? Do those work, or do third-party vendors with drivers for OS X (such as NTFS) need to set a boot flag for OS X in their installer?
