Cindori
I'm having issues getting my Asus X99 board working with Yosemite. Hardware spec is: Asus X99-S 5960x GTX 980 History: I started out with Chameleon+Yosemite USB key with relevant drivers and of course kernel patched by Stinga11's instructions. Got stuck at PCI Configuration Begin. I tried any remedies I could find (npci=0x2000/0x3000, nvda_disable=1, cpus=1/0, reset bios) but nothing worked. Ended up booting the USB on my Gigabyte z68 with GTX 670 and it installed Yosemite just fine to my drive. I copied over the patched kernel to the install and went ahead and installed the Nvidia Web Drivers as well. Tried booting the finished drive in my x99, same story, PCI Configuration Begin. Tried nvda_driver=1, did not help. At this point I switched to Clover and followed RampageDev's X99 DMG. Copied relevant drivers and SSDT. Booted through Clover, same story, PCI Configuration Begin (and instant reboot). This is my verbose using Clover. The (NO WRITE) error got my attention, but I have been unable to find out more about it. Both the USB and drive are GUID, if that matters. I'm at a loss on how to proceed. I have read about several success stories with either Asus boards and 5920k/5930k, or other boards with 5960x. But with the combination of Asus and 5960x there seems to be issues. I only know of one other user, samtimbaud, who has this particular setup, and he also has the same issues. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. onmybikedrunk
I am getting the same error. I have had no success getting Yosemite to boot, but others have. From what I gather, this is the only way to get 10.10 to boot on Asus X99: Use createinstallmedia or restore Basesystem.dmg techniques to make a usb installer, then put the patched kernel on the root of the usb along with all extensions needed Install 10.10 via other stable Hack (x79 for instance) using Clover or just use a real Mac and a USB/Sata Dock and setup first user While in the installed OS on your "stable" Hack or real Mac, install voodootscsync, fakesmc and nullcpupowermanagement kexts to S/L/E and whatever else you need (nvidia web drivers etc..) Reboot from USB Installer and copy over patched kernel via terminal assuming your USB is "Installer" and your install is "Yosemite": cp -R /Volumes/Installer/System/Library/Kernels/kernel /Volumes/Yosemite/System/Library/Kernels/ Plug your HD back into SATA on X99 Boot with a USB stick with ONLY Chameleon on it (newest revision 2.3) via X99 and it should boot This is the only solution I've heard of that works until Clover gets its issues worked out. Like I said, I had similar errors as the above and have been unsuccessful but it may be worth a shot as I'm sure it's dependent on hardware etc... jamiethemorris
samtimbaud try this dsdt. I removed Name (_ADR, Zero) from the PCI0 device. After looking at it I don't think this is the problem but it's worth a try. dsdt_samtimbaud_X99Deluxe.aml.zip

kavenliang
Try disable the “pre-boot XHCI” in your BIOS configuration.
