I have this generic USB 2.0 cam which works OOB on Windows and Ubuntu, but while OS X recognises the device, I only get a black screen in any application. The device ID's 1e4e:0103 - a quick search turns out that the device, or the sensor that is, is a UVC sensor by Etron Technology, Inc. I've read a thread by AnV which refers to a kext that allows generic UVCs to be recognised as an iSight - would that kext solve things or do I need to do something else, save for buying a new camera?
