striimer Posted March 20, 2015 Share Posted March 20, 2015 Hi ! Can you share the experience, how did you managed Yosemite install ? I've tried usb install with Chameleon and Clover. Using different Chameleon boot flags, best shot was when screen comes to "SMC successful", then system hangs... smbios MacbookPro 8.1 Clover loads and after couple of minute waiting just shuts down the system, obviously config list is not well configured and i don't know how do that well. For managing using Clover Configurator. Bios is unlocked, modded version flashed, disabled virtualization technology, also tried disabled PCI power management. No efforts so far. Can you upload your clover install config list and post your bios settings ? i'll be glad... I have same laptop Aspire 8940G, with one exception, Nvidia is GT240M, rest of components are same , i7-720QM, ram 4gb, using at the moment for install testing one free 60gb SSD ethernet BCM5784M, wifi BCM943225 Linux codec dump told that ALC889 for sound.
