fog_horn Posted October 8, 2014 Share Posted October 8, 2014 Hi,I have a Gigabyte GA-x79-UD5 mainboard, running ML 10.8.5 and a problem to get ethernet up and running.In System Preferences nothing shows up, the ethernet controller is not recognized. However, if I boot up in safe mode, it is there and working. I installed the hnak AppleIntelE1000e.kext with [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] (several versions from 5.2.1 to 5.5.5) several times, then removed the IONetworkingFamily.kext from S/L/E and installed the untouched version from my [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] stick, reinstalled the hnak AppleIntelE1000e.kext, and still nothing.I also deleted the networkinterfaces.plist and preferences.plist from Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration.
