Hi,

I have a Hackintosh which is running OSX 10.8.5 happily but I would like to upgrade to Mavericks.

Problem is that it gets as far as XCPM and hangs up.

I have tried all the obvious boot flags and nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

The system is MB: GA-H81m-DS2

CPU : G3240

Graphics : Gigabyte GT610

4gb ram

Thanks

Paul

Sounds like you need the Haswell kernel patch available on here, you can apply it from the command line in Terminal on your existing install with the new install mounted with a command similar to this.

sudo patch_command /Volumes/Your_New_Install_Name/mach_kernel

Of course changing  patch_command to the command needed and Your_New_Install_Name to the actual name as it appears if spaces in it then "Your New Install Name" needs to be used.
