yashshah7197 Posted September 18, 2014 Share Posted September 18, 2014 Hello guys. I think I managed to successfully install OS X Mavericks 10.9.4 on my PC that I had built around 8 months back. Also, I managed to get it to triple boot with Windows 8.1 and Ubuntu 14.04 through Clover (All in UEFI)! Here are the specs:- Motherboard: ASRock Z87 Extreme4 Processor: Intel 4th Generation (Haswell) i5 4670K 3.40 GHz GPU: MSI R9 270X HAWK 2GB RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) HDD: Seagate Barracuda SV-35 2TB I used the installer from the App Store to create the USB installer for 10.9.2 and then upgraded to 10.9.4 after installing. Having no issues so far. Can boot into OS X without any boot flags. Resolution is 1920x1080. Shows up as an iMac 14,2 in System Report. My GPU also appears to be working OOB without installing any kexts or DSDT patches. It shows up properly as 'AMD R9 270X' series in System Report. Is this normal. Do I need to install the FrameBuffer patch? Here's whats confirmed working so far:- Sound Internet through Ethernet GPU appears to be working. I'll run a GPU benchmark and post the results later. Bluetooth Mouse and Keyboard iMessage I'm trying to get my webcam working now. Ask any questions if you have and also share your opinions maybe? luppolone Posted September 19, 2014 Share Posted September 19, 2014 I've got a Z77 Extreme4, can you please provide me your BIOS settings? Can you boot in OS X with CSM disabled? I've been able only to install Mavericks with CSM disabled (cannot see Win7 installation), if i try to enable i'm getting stuck in verbose, if i boot with -x i reach the desktop but i see all distorted (like 3 desktops overlapped). Would you mind giving me a brief description on the steps you took in order to get it installed? I keep on getting the reboot from verbose mode and i can't go any further. Did you use a patched kernel?
