Right, so,

Hi guys, apologies if this subject/topic has been posted elsewhere in this forum, I had a look and couldn't find anything and am getting quite frustrated.

So a while ago, I came across the subject of Hackintosh, and since I have been craving Mac for ages now (but have zero money to buy a mac) I jumped in enthusiastically. Here's the software I used:

- ##### Legacy (burned to CD),

- Torrented iATKOS (burned to DVD RW) of OS X 10.6.7 Snow Leopard,

- Windows 7 (where I did everything beforehand).

After burning both programs to their respective discs I restarted my computer into BIOS and changed all IDE to ACHI, and my power to S3. I also changed my boot order to CD-Rom then HDD. After another restart I booted into #####, replaced the disc with the iATKOS Snow Leopard disc and ran the OS X Setup. All was good, and after getting to thesetup screen I selected English, partitioned my 2TB drive into three partitions (666 GB each) and installed OS X onto one of them. I then walked away while it was installing, after turning the monitor off.

I came back fifteen minutes later and the screen was black, apart from a green chameleon at the top of the screen. Assuming it had restarted and failed, I restarted back into ##### and launched the new Snow Leopard entry (as tonymacx86's tutorial said there would be). It came up with a gray screen and black apple logo with the spinning wheel beneath it, as there should be. A minute and a half into this the screen flickered black, and the computer restarted.  I booted back into OS X and it did the same thing, except instead of restarting it threw up a kernel panic error. I can't get past this screen, and I can still access Windows, which is what I'm typing this on. Is there something I'm missing? HELP PLEASE.

My setup is:

- Gigabyte P55-UD3R mobo

- 8 GB RAM (4 corsair somethingarather, 4 corsair vengeance; two different types)

- 1GB Nvidia GeForce 460 SE

- Intel Core i5 760 @ 2.80Ghz

- Fatal1ty 750 watt PSU

- DVD Drive

- 2TB Hard Drive

- 64GB SSD (Win 7 Pro install disc)

I apologise if this is a noob question, and would really appreciate all feedback.

Thanks so much in advance
