What does this kext do?

It's supposed to keep your computer from booting if it detects that you are not running on a Mac. I don't know exactly how it works, smc keys or something. This isn't an issue anymore because we have FakeSMC.kext.

 

If you boot your hackintosh in verbose mode, at some point you will probably see "DSMOS has arrived." That means Dont Steal Mac OS X.kext has been loaded which means FakeSMC is working and the system will boot.
