Bancherd
I was going through my DP7's extensions folder and saw this "Dont Steal Mac OS X.kext". What does it do?
jamiethemorris
It's supposed to keep your computer from booting if it detects that you are not running on a Mac. I don't know exactly how it works, smc keys or something. This isn't an issue anymore because we have FakeSMC.kext. If you boot your hackintosh in verbose mode, at some point you will probably see "DSMOS has arrived." That means Dont Steal Mac OS X.kext has been loaded which means FakeSMC is working and the system will boot.
p.H
Oops. That's the first time I notice stuff about "DSMOS has arrived". No offense. Just want to know how sure are you of this DSMOS short for Don't Steal Mac OSX

joe75
Your karma check for today: There once was was a user that whined his existing OS was so blind, he'd do better to pirate an OS that ran great but found his hardware declined. Please don't steal Mac OS! Really, that's way uncool. © Apple Computer, Inc.U??VWS?5P cat /System/Library/Extensions/Dont\ Steal\ Mac\ OS\ X.kext/LICENSE Copyright © 2006,2009 Apple Inc. Gringo Vermelho
"I know what you're thinking, 'cause right now I'm thinking the same thing. Actually, I've been thinking it ever since I got here: Why oh why didn't I take the BLUE pill?" lol
