pote2639
Hi, Well, everything is going fine. sound, network, etc etc (but not really the graphic, yes fully qe/cl worked but I still concerned about that nightmare fermi freeze, but doesn't have any freeze like in mavericks yet.) But only things that bugging me is the slow, and sluggish performance. well when I just surf the web from safari, opening 5-7 tabs (one of them is Youtube) and open steam, some 2-3 background apps. then when I'm going to open another safari tab again, the rainbow ball appeared. freezed for 2-5 secs. (also that the same things when I'm going to open another app) and the animation feels sluggish, lagging a bit. I'm not quite sure its because its a beta software? (but I also having this lag experience in mavericks too.) Not sure why, but I could give you some spec: Motherboard: P7P55 LX CPU: i3-540 GPU: GTS 450 4GB of RAM 500GB of HDD Using clover for installing method. No DSDT (note, I did install yosemite in the same mavericks drive) The custom kext I only use is voodoohda (normal applehda won't work anyways) Oh, yes my english is broke. feels free to ask anything if you don't understand. thanks in advance! alexanderq
Safari has been reported with a lot of bugs so first try another browser firefox chrome and if you have the same problem then you must look at your gpu if it is fully working PS.You have to provide more details (bootloader, boot.log)
pote2639
Hey, thanks for replying! Well I'm not quite sure how to see the boot.log? also the bootloader is clover EFI v2k r2789 with boot0af MBR Also I'm pretty sure the graphic is fully worked. since the top toolbar show transparent bar, even the system recognised it. (see picture below) but its seem something hogging/preventing cpu to not fully load tho. I've tried chrome, well a bit less lag, but still a noticeable lag. Oh btw, OS X recognised my hack as iMac (21.5-inch, Mid 2010) (if that matter, because maybe I should change system profile to MacPro 3,1?) alexanderq
Clover injected your hack as iMac based on you hardware. You must check you gpu with some bench app to see if it is ok and read clover wiki http://clover-wiki.zetam.org/Home. pote2639
Weird, the test running pretty fast and the result is in the picture below Also, I can't seem to find about "how to locate boot log" in the wiki (or maybe I'm just too dumb :x) anyways, anyone know how to make "nvidia injector" options in the clover boot loader permanent options? because I have to checked that option before I boot my hack, or I will end up with "out of range" screen. I can't find that on the wiki either... oh well.
alexanderq
You can make a darwindump and upload the results http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/282794-darwindumper/
pote2639
Alright, here's the log files. Also, I've messing the clover's config.plist. well... I can't enable nvidia injector on anyways, even I've edited the config.plist. its pretty annoying that I need to checked the "nvidia injector" before I boot into OS X not sure what I'm doing wrong but have my config.plist just in case. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>ACPI</key> <dict> <key>DSDT</key> <dict> <key>Debug</key> <false/> <key>Fixes</key> <dict> <key>AddDTGP_0001</key> <true/> <key>AddHDMI_8000000</key> <true/> <key>AddIMEI_80000</key> <true/> <key>AddMCHC_0008</key> <false/> <key>AddPNLF_1000000</key> <true/> <key>DeleteUnused_400000</key> <true/> <key>FIX_ACST_4000000</key> <true/> <key>FIX_ADP1_800000</key> <true/> <key>FIX_INTELGFX_100000</key> <false/> <key>FIX_RTC_20000</key> <true/> <key>FIX_S3D_2000000</key> <true/> <key>FIX_TMR_40000</key> <true/> <key>FIX_WAK_200000</key> <true/> <key>FakeLPC_0020</key> <false/> <key>FixAirport_4000</key> <true/> <key>FixDarwin_0002</key> <false/> <key>FixDisplay_0100</key> <true/> <key>FixFirewire_0800</key> <true/> <key>FixHDA_8000</key> <true/> <key>FixHPET_0010</key> <true/> <key>FixIDE_0200</key> <false/> <key>FixIPIC_0040</key> <true/> <key>FixLAN_2000</key> <true/> <key>FixRegions_10000000</key> <true/> <key>FixSATA_0400</key> <false/> <key>FixSBUS_0080</key> <false/> <key>FixShutdown_0004</key> <true/> <key>FixUSB_1000</key> <false/> <key>NewWay_80000000</key> <true/> </dict> <key>Name</key> <string>DSDT.aml</string> </dict> <key>DropTables</key> <array> <dict> <key>Signature</key> <string>DMAR</string> </dict> <dict> <key>Signature</key> <string>SSDT</string> <key>TableId</key> <string>CpuPm</string> </dict> <dict> <key>Signature</key> <string>SSDT</string> <key>TableId</key> <string>Cpu0Ist</string> </dict> </array> <key>HaltEnabler</key> <true/> <key>SSDT</key> <dict> <key>EnableC2</key> <false/> <key>EnableC4</key> <false/> <key>EnableC6</key> <true/> <key>EnableC7</key> <false/> <key>Generate</key> <dict> <key>CStates</key> <true/> <key>PStates</key> <true/> </dict> </dict> </dict> <key>Boot</key> <dict> <key>CustomLogo</key> <false/> <key>DefaultVolume</key> <string>MacHDD</string> <key>Fast</key> <false/> <key>Legacy</key> <string>PBR</string> <key>Log</key> <false/> <key>Timeout</key> <integer>8</integer> <key>XMPDetection</key> <string>-1</string> </dict> <key>Devices</key> <dict> <key>Audio</key> <dict> <key>Inject</key> <string>No</string> </dict> <key>FakeID</key> <dict> <key>ATI</key> <string>0x0</string> <key>IMEI</key> <string>0x0</string> <key>IntelGFX</key> <string>0x0</string> <key>LAN</key> <string>0x0</string> <key>NVidia</key> <string>0x0</string> <key>SATA</key> <string>0x0</string> <key>WIFI</key> <string>0x0</string> <key>XHCI</key> <string>0x0</string> </dict> <key>Inject</key> <false/> <key>USB</key> <dict> <key>AddClockID</key> <true/> <key>FixOwnership</key> <true/> <key>Inject</key> <true/> </dict> </dict> <key>DisableDrivers</key> <array> <string>Nothing</string> </array> <key>GUI</key> <dict> <key>Hide</key> <array> <string>Windows</string> <string>BOOTX64.EFI</string> </array> <key>Language</key> <string>en:0</string> <key>Mouse</key> <dict> <key>Enabled</key> <true/> <key>Speed</key> <integer>8</integer> </dict> <key>Scan</key> <dict> <key>Entries</key> <true/> <key>Legacy</key> <true/> <key>Tool</key> <true/> </dict> <key>TextOnly</key> <false/> <key>Theme</key> <string>applestyle</string> </dict> <key>Graphics</key> <dict> <key>Inject</key> <dict> <key>ATI</key> <false/> <key>Intel</key> <false/> <key>NVidia</key> <true/> </dict> <key>PatchVBios</key> <false/> </dict> <key>KernelAndKextPatches</key> <dict> <key>AppleRTC</key> <true/> <key>AsusAICPUPM</key> <true/> <key>Debug</key> <false/> <key>KernelCpu</key> <false/> <key>KextsToPatch</key> <array> <dict> <key>Comment</key> <string>External icons patch</string> <key>Find</key> <data>RXh0ZXJuYWw=</data> <key>Name</key> <string>AppleAHCIPort</string> <key>Replace</key> <data>SW50ZXJuYWw=</data> </dict> </array> </dict> <key>RtVariables</key> <dict> <key>LogEveryBoot</key> <string>10</string> <key>LogLineCount</key> <integer>3000</integer> <key>MountEFI</key> <true/> </dict> <key>SystemParameters</key> <dict> <key>InjectKexts</key> <string>Detect</string> <key>InjectSystemID</key> <true/> </dict> </dict> </plist> DarwinDumper_2.9.6_Clover_X64_2789_Yos_potemac.zip
HBP
you need to adjust the appleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext to have it stop cycling your cards clock as low as it is. look up your injected mac's model then add your graphics card to the list and set it's high and low percentages. right now it sounds like yosemite is clocking it down a bit to far for four liking and making everything feel laggy then having a hiccup when the card doesn't kick right back up to speed X. my card does some similar things. then I set the PM on it not to allow it below 50%, and it is very smooth, and extra fast.
