Requesting Guide to Install Mavericks/Yosemite On An Intel Atom Baytrail-TZ3735D Tablet PC

Hi guys. I have a working Hackintosh and I'm curious as to whether or not the latest x86 tablets (with the proper kernel patch(es) will boot Mavericks or even Yosemite? Should I get one of these I'll try Linux too...

The tablets I'm interested in are listed below:

WinBook TW100

http://www.microcenter.com/single_pr...spx?sku=410605

ASUS VivoTab Note 8

http://www.microcenter.com/product/4...Tablet_-_Black

They both share the Intel BayTrail CPU (Atom-based) that runs at 1.33 GHz (quad-core) and turbo boots up to 1.86 GHz or so. I was at my local MicroCenter store the other morning to play with both of them and I'm leaning towards the WinBook (32GB) because of its full size USB 3 port at top and its $200 price. On the other hand the VivoTab I found goes for $279 and has twice the storage as the WinBook but no full size USB 3 port...

Has anyone gotten any of those tablets to try and install Mac OS X onto? If you have, what works? Touchscreen? WiFi? Graphics? If you have any suggestions or recommendations on a tablet that's known to mostly work feel free to leave them here.

Finally, these two tablets are attractive to me because they're under $300. If I was to spend more than that I'd get a MacBook Pro, but that won't happen until earliest July of 2015...

Anyway... thanks in advance.

there isn't anyone yet here in the forum that installed OS X on these kind of tablets...

But you could always try, the system should boot with proper patching, and probably even other devices...

Just buy the one you prefer then after trying a couple of generic guides you can always ask for help,

please remember to use the Tablet section.

I'm very much leaning towards the Vivo Tab. I suspect the latest version of OSX that'll work is actually 10.6. I vaguely recall reading something about newer versions not running on Atom CPUs. I hope I'm mistaken. Even still, running 10.6 on it would be nifty.

I was looking at about installing OSX on a cheapo Z3735F TV box.   The first problem I foresee is that I doubt it'll be able to access the eMMC storage.  Like I can't imagine there is a .kext for eMMC disks included in OSX by default.  Please correct me if I'm wrong.   It may be possible with a USB connected disk.

I recieved CX-W8 Atom Z3735F PC.

I try to install Yosemite by using Clover EFI.

I can boot Clover EFI OS selecter by selecting "Install for UEFI boot only" option.

But I could not see Yosemite in the boot menu.

I continue try to install Yosemite to CX-W8.

I can see OSX installer by checking install clover in the ESP, Don't update MBR and EBR sectors and Clover32EFI.

I can select OSX installer but nothing happens.

This discussion is helpful.

This page is also interesting.

How'd you managed to boot up from a USB or SD card? Been trying to do that with my friend's Hipstreet W7 to no avail.

I downloaded Clover source code, It seems to Clover does not support Bay Trail Atom.

CPU definition is in /rEFIt_UEFI/Platform/Platform.h
