FTLRalph
So I'd really, really like to save some serious cash and simply convert my Sony Vaio FW290 into a Hackintosh. There's one component I'm unsure about and after loads of Google-ing around all I can find are semi-old discussions about potential breakthroughs - no clear and concise answer. For example, this 23-page topic which just so happens to end with a poor soul asking for help with his Sony Vaio FW290 in 2011: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/149872-ati-moblity-radeon-hd-3650-on-ideneb-13/page-23 So basically my question is this, is there a kext out there for this particular GPU and if so, which OSX verison should I install for best compatibility? Here are the full specs of the laptop: Motherboard: M761 ASSY MB Cantiga GM45 CPU: Intel Core2 Duo T9400 @ 2.53GHz Graphics: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 Network: Intel Wifi Link 5100 AGN RAM: 4GB Current OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Any advice appreciated, thanks!
