Apparently thats not the issue. robE
This happens because there is no native support for 9 series motherboards and you don't have a discrete graphic card. use this kext. AppleIntelFramebufferAzul.kext.zip
sinuspane
whats that kext for? is it for onboard graphics...just want to know if its necessary for me to buy a graphics card right now
vancityex
Yes as i had been in the same boat .....so learn from been there done that .....or reinvent the wheel, choice is yours. Simple fix for me was to use the compatible video card and i booted into installer. i know it is hard to imagine why others flavours of asus z97 work as opposed to this one with on board graphics and it is the realtively new and unsupported z97 chipset, and cpu combo so either you can buy a new graphics card or a diffrent read gigabyte itx board or wait for next version of OSX when everything will work.
