From my understanding is that I need to somehow generate DSDT or SSDT file to make the use of HDMI Audio… unfortunately my system is DSDT free since most of stuff work out of box except for wifi. My motherboard doesn't require DSDT or SSDT and that's why my Extra folder doesn't contain DSDT or SSDT file which is nice until I learned about HDMI audio issue... so which is preferable to generate DSDT or SSDT and how do I create those? I use MaciASL to generate DSDT, applied two of your patches: ib1-ami_efi_clean_compile uefi1-hdmi_audio-1 However, I ran into 1 error during compiling which complained about "syntax error unexpected parseop_if Arg0" and I removed that offending line... I also noticed my CPU temp dropped by 10 degree with DSDT which is nice side effect! But I'm not seeing HDMI Audio in Sound preference... Here's newly generated IOReg UPDATE: It's working now after rebuilding cache and reboot, I'm going to mark this as solved and thank you for your help!
