AJ.Allen
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I used ##### to create a Mavericks Installer USB. The installer keeps failing, but it doesn't show me where it fails. I tried the following flags -v -s -x GraphicsEnabler=No -v -s -x GraphicsEnabler=Yes -v -f -x PCIRoodUID=1 GraphicsEnabler=No -v -f -x PCIRoodUID=0 GraphicsEnabler=No -v -f -x PCIRoodUID=1 GraphicsEnabler=Yes -v -f -x PCIRoodUID=0 GraphicsEnabler=Yes and still nothing. Here are the specs of this Machine Make: Dell Model: XPS 11 - 9P33 Processor: Intel Core i3-4020Y 1.5Ghz RAM: 4GB HD: LiteONIT DMT-8 Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4200
aww
From google of HCL 10.9, cannot find any one has intel HD4200 successfully installed. However, hd4200 belong to family series: HD Graphics 4200, 4400, 4600, P4600, P4700 – GT2, 20 execution units, up to 432 GFLOPS at 1350 MHz So it is possible, and worth a test. Don't use Uxxxx, Nxxxx, Ixxxx type installer. Follow method from here, or elsewhere. To create a generic USB installer from 10.9.4. (not 10.9.0) Give it a try, can you post your intel iris 4200 dev id. I may be able to examine the base dmg binary and look for that id. correction, i can examine my current SLE of 10.9.4 for it too. One more thing, I own Dell Hardware before. They imposed a lot restrictions on Hardware & Software. You may have NO UEFI option to disable Microsoft EFI manager. If this is the case, don't waste your time. No Non-Microsoft Drive can be booted.
lemychen
I have installed on the XPS 11 Yosemite, using Ni***sh release (you can google to find the torrent to download the image file). Just make sure to go to the hackintosh zone (www.hackintosh.zone) to read all the instruction on how to do it. I've sweated a bit as it was my first install, but if you read closely the instructions it should not be of no problem. Good luck.
