awelex
Hi, Just built a new hackintosh with an Asus Z87 Pro motherboard. Using Clover as bootloader and a DSDT patch by pjalm for Asus Series 8 motherboards. Everything is running smoothly, except that I can't get my RAM to run faster than 1333MHz. Everything works perfectly when it's set to 1333MHz in the BIOS; if I enable XMP and set to 1866MHz I get a kernel panic on booting. If I boot without my custom DSDT I can get into Mavericks and everything works fine again, except that the system still shows the memory at 1333MHz. I guess the difference between 1333MHz and 1866MHz RAM is fairly negligible for the majority of tasks, but at this point I'm just curious how I can patch my DSDT to fix this. Any ideas? Thanks, Alex EDIT: Attached patched DSDT I am currently using as well as vanilla DSDT. DSDTs.zip
Gringo Vermelho
Try extracting your DSDT while your RAM set to 1866Mhz, and patch it again.
MacUser2525
Give it a try setting the speed manually instead of using an XMP profile.
