Leonardo R. Garrido
Hey everybody! / Olá pessoal do InsanelyMac! I'm having some trouble on trying to install Mavericks on my desktop. Here are my specs: - Intel Core 2 Duo - 4GiB of RAM - NVidia 8400GS 1GB - Intel DG41TY Motherboard So, I've had Mac OS X Mountain Lion installed perfectly before, but I've changed my Hard Drive from 500GiB to 1TB, and now I want to install Mavericks. When USB Drive starts booting to install, it just reboot and the install doesn't come. I've changed a few kexts, because I was getting the "PCI Configuration Begin" error, as I've done when trying to install ML for first time: AppleACPIPlatform.kext AppleAHCIPort.kext IOPCIFamily.kext PlatformUUID.kext Please, help me Thanks, Leo

Leonardo R. Garrido
I didn't found the Chameleon Boot Plist, even the Extra folder. I know that I'm using Chameleon, but I can't find the files :-( Actually, my motherboard model number is DG41TY, by Intel. Thanks, Leo
aww
Are you using Hybrid DVD (niresh, then you will not see plist)? If you are using custom installer like niresh, you successful rate will 2/3. Try Generic USB installation? That means, Apple Store -> Mavericks Installer App -> Create USB -> install Loader. When you install chameleon, Extra will not be cleared for you, need to copy your ML 10.8 /Extra folder to your new drive. SMBIOS must also be copy to /Extra. there are apps to create smbios and dsdt for you. I think ##### is has a function for smbios. DPCIManager.app will general a DSDT for you to put into /Extra. should use most current Chameleon Loader 2391 or newer. just google your mother board, it has integrated graphic GMA 4500, (require patched Kexts) are you using this. I thinl, if you have ML 10.8 runs ok , with your pc, then there are no reason it will not work on 10.9. 10.8 and 10.9 both use x64 kexts.
mendietinha
what version of os x you are trying to install? smbios is created with chameleon wizard. no need to indicate unsupported tools. no need to use unsupported graphic card if the one he has is supported and so on... aww
Remember few years ago, i still need to use plist editor and follow wiki to create smbios.plist myself. I don't think chameleon wizard is related the chameleon group. If need to connect to a server to get a new version, fail to connect 1 out 5 times. Wizard is itself a third party tool!
