Brask
I have my iAtkos 10.9.1 installation running perfectly on my computer: i7 2600k GTX 660 Direct CU II Z68 AP D3 gigabyte. But when I update to 10.9.3+ I have a driver problem with the nvidia update they put and I start my computer allways with a black screen and I would like to update to OSX 10.10 Yosemite as I am OSX registered Dev on Apple but there is no way to update my computer without booting up into a black screen showing nothing. I would like to know if it is possible to update without booting to black screen or without updating the OSX nvidia drivers that make my system boot up to black screen. Any solution is very welcome because when I clean install 10.9.1 it Works perfect but when updating is when things go wrong (it happens on 10.9.3 and up, on 10.9.2 it doesnt happen)
crashoverride012
Might be your NVDA kexts in S/L/E delete them and it should load, will not have full graphics support though. My Geforce 9400 gt 512mb always does it, I have to delete them off the installer just to get OSX installed.
Brask
The thing is the system wont load so I cant delete anything, and I need the driver support at least in 10.9.1 and 10.9.2 it is fully working, I dont understand why with the update it stops working. MilesMan
I believe they updated the OSX drivers in 10.9.3. I imagine they dont play nicely with your system. You could always update and then downgrade the nivida drivers to the 10.9.2 version. Or try to use the webdrivers and see if they work.
