Bios flash tool for Mac to flash PCI-E cards

Hi all,

I hope this is the correct way of posting my question (it is my first post in InsanelyMac).

I have a pci-e card with the connection for 2 sata2 internal. Now the bios is setup for only RAID, but I would like to flash it so I can use it as a sata2 add on to my Power Mac G5 dual core 2.0

I have searched the web out there for a long time, the only thing I can find is programs for flashing in Windows (I have only a Windows laptop).

Is there an alternative program I can use in Mac (ppc) to flash the card bios?

Any ideas would be really appreciated :-)

Greetings.

Hi megatronixs,

most likely a flash can be done with flashrom but it depends on your PCI-E card.

There's a version included in DPCIManager.

best regards
