HP Compaq plist

I am getting the error "an error occurred while installing OS X."

I have found a few different things that I can't figure out. It seems like my Intel computer is up to the hardware requirements but I don't know what plist settings I should have... i'm using the Chameleon Wizard to edit my plist file and i've tried a bunch of different stuff.

This is my computer, and here are my plist settings...

plist.tiff

I've messed with the plist settings 100 times and can't get it right... I have ACPI mode on in my bios but I can't find UEFI settings anywhere, the bios version is "786G1 v01.23". But since I can get to the installation screen doesn't that mean i'm past most of the issues?

I am also getting an error "BootCacheControl: Unable to open /var/db/BootCache.playlist", no idea how to get rid of that.

Do I need to flash my bios to get UEFI settings correct? I have been Googling around on how to do that and can't find out how to do it.

I have given it my all... I am stuck :(

Hello

Welcome!!!! :)

Let's go make it right... your boot.plisyt has many unecessary settings...

First of all.... Post your hardware configurations in your signature... If your mobo has UEFI, great! Isn't necessary flash your Bios... don't make this!

First post, sorry about that :) I believe my signature now has all of the relevant hardware specifications.

Here are some new screenshots of my latest attempt; what I believe are the standard plist settings in Chameleon Wizard at least.

plist2.tiff

smbios.tiff

boot.tiff

Here are some of the errors I picked out while using the -v flag.

  • using 64-bit bootcache playlist
  • BootCacheControl: Unable to open /var/db/BootCache.playlist
  • ** AppleSMBusPCI::start failed to get acpi path for provider
  • SMC:smcInitHelper ERROR: MMIO regMap == NULL - fall back to old SMC mode
  • No interval found for . 8000000
  • ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::start - waitForService(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement) timed out

I used myHack 3.3.1 to create my USB installer, and it appears that i've created it correctly since I am getting to the install screen and even the install process. I formatted the internal hard disk with a GUID boot record, with one partition formatted as HFS+ (Mac OS Journaled or something?) through disk utility, and I think that's correct... and i've tried a bunch of different boot flag combinations that supposedly fix some of these errors but I haven't had any luck!

As far as BIOS settings go, I only suggested a flash because there are no UEFI settings to configure. I was able to disable VT and set AHCI at least...

Any thoughts here?

Hello

With this hardware i believe only Lion will work on this... because your integrated grafik isn't supported in 64bit mode...

I gave to you a solution to install OSX... see that please ;) and use that :)
