Rubenca
Hi, I installed Yosemite successfully with using clover, adding FakeSMC.kext to the 10.10 kext folder and I was good to go (I'm using clover in UEFI mode only). Now post installation I'm trying to get clover working in my EFI partition (the same way as I did before for Mavericks), but when I try to boot my installed Yosemite with injected kexts, nothing happens. The only kext I need is FakeSMC, otherwise my motherboard is fully compatible. This is a clean install (no dual boot nonsense) Attached is my clover config, anyone have an idea what I'm doing wrong this time? AsusFreak
If they exist, remove the hardware sensor plugins in FakeSMC
Rubenca
Do you mean those separate kexts included with hwsensor? I do have those added to the 10.10 kext folder indeed. I'll try and remove them. By the way I can boot fine with my USB stick to my Yosemite install with those kexts included... Edit: Just tried removing those kexts (ACPISensors, CPUSensors, ...) Didn't help. Unless you meant something else wit those FakeSMC plugins?
AsusFreak
How 'bout GPUSensors? I had to remove them earlier to finish an install on one of my test boxes... May not help you at all...
Rubenca
yeah removed that one as well, like I said my kexts that I load and config are the same as what I have on my USB Stick. However my clover install in the UEFI partition, will not boot 10.10. As soon as I choose boot with injected kexts, it immediately freezes on this step: root device uuid is... Edit: Moving the kexts to the "Other" folder also didn't help Are there specific UEFI Clover drivers that I absolutely need?
Rubenca
Ok managed to fix my problem. I have an AMI APTIO bios and needed to enable the OsxAptioFixDrv driver in clover.
Maniac10
Good work on finding that out Rubenca and thanks for posting your solution. Now can you flag the topic as solved? Have fun!
