fruel
I installed Max OS X 10.10 DP 1 a few weeks ago an was able to update to DP2 without problems. Yesterday I started the system again and did the update to DP3. The installation was successful but after the reboot the system was stuck on the boot-logo. With -v boot flag the boot stops there: I tried booting with UseKernelCache=No and also regeneratig the kernel cache in single user mode (sudo kextcache --prelinked-kernel) but nothing changed. Any idea what the issue could be? Thanks.
styrian
Hello! I don´t know, whow you got the idea or who has suggested it to you, to set the key "PCIRoorUID=1". I am a bit in doubt, that you are using a bootloader version, which is supported on this platform. ASUS mainboards should work fine with the default value "PCIRootUID=0". What you could try, if you can not boot with your device with this default value only set the additional bootflag npci=0x2000. The value npci=0x3000 is breaking audio and perphaps ethernet. Set in any case the bootflags -f -v til you can successfully boot you system. Have fun.
fruel
I'm using Chameleon r2380 (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/298753-boot-usb-os-x-yosemite-chameleon/). As I said, it worked already with DP1 and DP2. Regarding my boot flags: I tried various combinations of boot flags and "PCIRootUID=1" & no "npci=" was the was the one that worked really well (Audio, Ethernet, GPU - mostly everything worked) But I'll try again chainging the flags as suggested. Edit: Nothing changes. Tried PCIRootUID=0 and also PCIRootUID=0 and npci=0x2000 but the boot stops always at the same time.
