Ed
Yikes, not a fan personally, but then I'm an old skool user so any deviation further away from System 7 is gonna upset me Looking forward to playing with Yosemite regardless.
Allan
What I liked most of this new appearance is the possibility of using Dark Mode, because the system looks like a giant iOS.
tj5
I wish the dock was more transparent or even invisible, instead of a gray bar - looks like a great step backwards. :-(
Riley Freeman
It is transparent. Like the rest of the UI transparency, it inherits the colours of the background. So it looks grey there because of the wallpaper.

pinarek
The dark (night) mode does not like it so much. There is no way, even in normal mode, to make the points under the bright open programs?
Zackptg5
It seems that everyone is going back to these cartoonish, 2d icons. Microsoft did it with windows 8 (Ioved windows 7 UI), coke and pepsi did it with their logos, and now apple is doing it too. What does everybody have against awesome looking, 3d eye candy? Microsoft did it with windows 8 (Ioved windows 7 UI), coke and pepsi did it with their logos, and now apple is doing it too. What does everybody have against awesome looking, 3d eye candy? The same thing they have against desktop operating systems. Microsoft did it with windows 8, and now apple is doing it too. Trying to turn a PROVEN desktop OS into some lame tablet/phone hybrid interface that will ALWAYS feel foreign on the desktop no matter what, is like trying to unite quantum theory with general relativity.. I can only hope they find out the hard way and take a step back like Microsoft did with windows 8; Apple is so damn obsessed with bastardizing OS X into iOS, can you imagine OS X dumbed down to the level iOS is? Simplicity should not come at such a huge cost, they need to not neglect their power users. Don't you miss the timeframe around when Snow Leopard was being released? It was all about Grand Central, OpenCL, many actual benefits and improvements targeted to the DESKTOP operating system. Now it's just all about what they took from ios and put it "back to the mac." This is a big {censored} box, there is a mouse and a keyboard, and even a network cable for internet! Hell there is even a power cord, can you believe it? I don't want to pretend its a phone, I don't want to see a phone-like user interface that is made for a 5 inch screen. Is that asking for too much? OS X is the only apple product i use, because I genuinely LOVE it. Having said that, there's not a thing in this world that I loathe more than iOS
pinarek
Hello friends With cDock 5.6 it is now possible again a good dock, similar to Mavericks to gestalten. I have the 3D image from cDock5.6 with the tool: ColorSync Utility which is in Yosemite in it, worked. I promised a Greenish dock for my forest wallpaper. I've also made the 3D image a yellowish gray. One can now make the points (indicator) light or dark even in cDock5.6. Then the color is probably taken from the Dockfarbe. My indicators would also know before in white and after using the greenish dock they were bright green. One can in the ColorSync Utility to edit the colors to change the docks. Down then do not change the 3 options in the Edit window Options change the white point and black point, so until you have the desired color gradient. It requires a bit of patience. You can also change nor the other options such as saturation and gamma value as a popular. You must then save the modified image See my attached images:
