Strange hard disk behaviour (to me...)

Hello nice people,

What I wanted to do that is the following : For example on the hackintosh to make a backup on an internal sata disk (remote backup with rsync for example, or something else) . Then if something goes wrong with the hack I should be able to remove this internal hard disk and to connect it to a real mac in USB ,so that I can get back my files (even more better be able to boot).

I did the following : I partition (GUID/mac OSX journalisé) an external disk connected in USB to a real mac, it is recognized when the disk is connected via USB on the hackintosh.

BUT il the disk is inserted in the hackintosh as internal via SATA, it is not recognized anymore. Furthermore the partition is now MBR/ FDisk_partition_scheme. Only the first partition can be seen on Disk utility (or in terminal with diskutil list) but I cannot mounted it (and seen on the finder).

The problem is the same the other way around. I mean partition an internal sata disk on the hack, then remove it and connect it in USB to the real mac. Then it is not recognized ...

Why is it so ?

Any idea and solution ?

Sorry for my english, I hope I made myself clear….

Many thanks

Dominique
