running Yosemite with Clover UEFI boot loader

CPU shows correct number of cores but in HWMonitor there is only 1...what is real and what is not?

Test with iStat Menus

Hello

Other hit.... try use AICPUPMI or DCPM app to see how much P-States you have… if it show good P-States I believe HWMonitor issue is pure cosmetic..

Other thing… see if you marked cpus=1 in boot flags

Thanks jamiethemorris, so do i need to put it in /extra folder or /S/L/E?

Solved!!!

Thanks! now my score is correct and iStat seeing all cores and thread !

Is that will work with clover boot as well??

How to i optimise my RAM?? still geek bench results for multi looks low...20292...

Yes, it will work with clover. As far as optimizing your ram... First of all, it won't make much of a difference, if any, in your geekbench score. But if you really want to you can simply increase the clock speed. Chances are that your RAM rated at a higher speed than it is set at by default in the bios. For example mine is rated at 1600mhz but by default it is set at 1333mhz. So check that... You can also overclock the ram but I wouldn't bother, it causes too many stability issues for very little performance increase.

As for the low score, are you using geekbench 32-bit or 64-bit? The demo is 32-bit only BTW. That score is about right for geekbench 3 32-bit, 64-bit would get you around 22000 or so.

Thanks! yep using demo version now...I will try to use this kext in clover boot now and post results, still in clover the sleep is not working correctly...it does sleep but never wake up when always restarting the PC and cause BIOS to be corrupted...

yep works in clover to  :) thanks! Just need to get sleep working to...both chameleon and clover restart take long time...

Sounds like you need the RTC patch in clover if you have not already done it: http://clover-wiki.zetam.org/Configuration/KernelAndKextPatches#AppleRTC that should fix your wake+BIOS reset issue.

Thanks i will try that!

when i changed in plist this key:

<key>SSDT</key>

<dict>
<key>DropOem</key>
<true/>

now my energy saver in system P. is look like in the picture....hmmm...is that a correct way? where is my "sleep" settings?

In Yosemite, the system will sleep a few moments after the display is turned off.  What you see in your Energy Saver settings is correct.

If you're dropping the OEM dsdt in clover make sure to either:

- generate c-states and p-states

Or

- use pike r alpha's ssdtprgen

I thought of another problem that may be the cause, try enabling slpsmiatwake in you config.plist. also try enabling suspendoverride and rtc8allowed. These are all under the dsdt options http://clover-wiki.zetam.org/Configuration/ACPI

Might have something to do with the SMBIOS.plist used as well.  I am using MacPro6,1 and the system sleeps right after the screen is turned off, and wakes up normally.  I use Clover.

Back to chameleon SSD...seems a bit slower than Clover...but sleep is working! anyway in Chameleon the memory banks are like in the picture...HOW CAN I FIX THAT?

is there a fast boot for Chameleon boot loader like clover?

In clover i boot in less than 10 sec, in chameleon more than a minute....

I might found the problem with sleep or this is another cosmetic issue,in "about my mac" support tab i can see iMac icon and not MacPro (in chameleon boot i can see Mac`pro), is that can cause sleep issue?

it shouldn't, no. Clover chooses what it thinks is the best Mac model for your hardware configuration, which in this case is an iMac.

but my SMBIOS show MacPro...if so where i can change this in clover?

It's part of the config.plist. http://clover-wiki.zetam.org/Configuration/SMBIOS

I recommend using Clover configurator for this.

Here is an example of a MacPro3,1 SMBios.plist converted to Clover config.plist format http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/282787-clover-v2-instructions/page-2

thanks Jamie,

Yes i do have this in my plist and system shows Macpro 6,1 how ever the picture is for iMac (maybe a cosmetic issue) but sometimes when i go to settings in clover boot and choose Smbios the setting over there is indeed for imac3,1...maybe it is hard coded somewhere?

Now my Chameleon SSD wont sleep no more...i mess it up to many and i erase it... :(

using clover SSD now...everything is greate except sleep...need to fix that.

If it shows 2 different models for smbios than something is wrong with the smbios settings in your config probably. I don't know about the sleep thing, I think you night have some dsdt patches set in clover that may be interfering. Can you post your config.plist?

@ergot try this one. I dropped the OEM SSDT and changed the plugin type to 1 (this ensures that it's using XCPM instead of AICPM). I was going to change your SMBIOS to MacPro3,1 but TBH MacPro6,1 is probably the best fit for your processor. let me know if that helps.

BTW - You have to zip certain types of files first to attach them.

config_ergot.plist.zip
