TheNavigator
A friend has an HP Pavilion DV6 6070 laptop, Intel i7 processor and AMD graphics card. The installation worked when he used ahcidisk=1. Right now he's using cpus=1 to boot. OS X recognizes his laptop as a Mac Pro. Brightness control doesn't work, too, and neither Wifi (we're considering a dongle but getting the built-in WIFI to work would be perfect, it's Broadcom BCM 4313). I tried searching for guides but it looks like this specific laptop has very limited hackintosh support. Any help is appreciated. Thanks! EDIT: Oh, and he used Niresh. TheNavigator
We fixed the cpus=1 using LAPIC kernel patch, we used Macbook Pro 8,1 SMBIOS, Rehabman's patches and ACPIBacklight.kext (I guess that was the name?) to fix the brightness, and we bought a dongle, but we're having one more problem, SpeedStep. We can't find a working fix for the AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement kext. Can someone please help with that?
