mlast1972
Hi all, I really hope somebody out there can come to my rescue as I'm pulling my hair out trying to install Mavericks on my Lenovo laptop (G780). Can anyone provide a specific set of instructions on how to get Mavericks running on my laptop please, as I'm getting lost in a sea of kernals/patches/DSDT's/etc????? Thanks to anyone (and everyone) in advance who can help me. Merv
styrian
Hello! It´s hard to suggest something, becaus of you are not telling more, that you are planing to install Mavericks von a G780. But there are more than one model. Install is also depending on the cpu, because the SMBios of the Apple device should match your hardware as near as ever possible. A good point to start for you is reading this guide: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/280756-guide-the-all-in-one-guide-to-vanilla-os-x-including-chameleon-dsdt-for-beginners-updated-for-mavericks/ A tool, you could use for creating your installer is this one: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/category/9-pandora/ I suggest, that you should try at first to install Mavericks on an external hhd (20 gigs are at least enough) by using Chameleon or Enoch as bootloader. If your system is nearly perfect running, you can try to switch over to Clover as bootloader. If you have got clover running, you can clone your OSX install to a partition of your internal hdd and install also clover on the hdd. Hackintoshing is a process with learning by doing and sometimes a bit difficult. But the specs of your G780 should be not so hard to crack. At least one important tip: If you have in the bios options for switching gfx, switch to integrated only. Have fun.
