HBK4EVER
Hello! I am seeking help with my DSDT. I need to patch it to get my VIA VT2020 audio chip/codec to work. The most promising fix I've found until now is this one (I hope you're fine with other Hackintosh boards) http://www.hackintoshosx.com/topic/16228-guide-via-vt2021-audio-on-os-x-108x109/. I know it says VT2021 there, but the original source from where the kext is coming from says it's for both VT2021 and VT2020. There is a kext to install and a code snippet to put inside the HDEF method of the DSDT. However, I have no HDEF method (and the OP in the linked thread has) and am not sure how and if I should just copy it over to my existing DSDT. Now I am asking you nicely if you could please help me doing this task and hopefully getting my audio chip to work, since this is (besides other small things) the only critical issue I have with my new Hackintosh system. My Version of OS X is 10.9.0, if that is somehow important. My current DSDT is attached. It is the default I got when installing the system, no changes made. Thanks in advance! dsdt.dsl.zip
styrian
Hello! Why are you complicating things? You could try voodoohda 2.8.4. Look here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279133-voodoohda-for-gigabyte-ga-z77x-ud3h-via-vt2020vt2021/?p=2029261 Or 2.8.5 from here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/297207-voodoohda-285-for-mavericks-slice-anv-signed/?p=2009141 Have fun. HBK4EVER
Hey, thanks for your answer. I tried VoodooHDA at first but had to notice issues with the sound (can't really describe it.. the sound pauses every few milliseconds, I think there is cracks too), so I wanted to give this method a try. I tried both versions of VoodooHDA. Thanks.
