Snow Leopard 10.6.8- Z77 D3H Ethernet Issues

Hi everyone,

I am new to all of this hackintosh business and took it upon myself to have a go.

My set up is:

i5 3570k

Z77 D3H Motherboard Rev 1.0

Samsung Evo 128 Gb SSD

Asus HD7850

So I installed OSX 10.6 from an install DVD with a view to then upgrading to mountain lion or later from the app store. I used the ##### disk to boot into the installer and thereafter.

Once OSX was installed to the hard drive I used ##### with a DSDT free option. Other than the bootloader and the legacy PS2 option I did not consider anything else. I did install some of the utilities.

However, no matter how hard I try, I cannot get my ethernet or graphics card to work. I am not yet confident enough to change things in terminal so I have tried kext utility.

Immediately the system says there is no ethernet card attached to the hard drive.

I tried Shailua's Experimental Atheros AR81 to see if this would work but no joy. My intention is to simply get the app store working to then upgrade to Mountain Lion or later. I have not considered what is required from this point as I simply want to get back to that stage.

I don't currently have a wifi card and I wondered if anyone could possibly help me get to the bottom of the issue.

Sorry if this is a repeat of what has been said before.

Thanks for your help.

Ian.
