Serge-H Posted June 27, 2014 Share Posted June 27, 2014 Hey guys, I have an Hp pavilion dv6, and i want to make my nVidia GeForce GT 630m 2G graphics card work on my mavericks hackintosh, because i can do more than what i can do with the integrated intel graphics 3000. And i want to buy a new wifi card, but i want to get it compatible with yosemite, since later this year, yosemite will come out. Is there any card for a laptop that is compatible with yosemite for hackintosh, that also works for Windows, and is inexpensive ? Thank you. Allan Posted June 27, 2014 Share Posted June 27, 2014 The GT630m card does not work, only HD 3000. A pain for laptop users is that most built-in wireless cards aren’t supported. You can always find and replace your unsupported one. Here is the list of supported and unsupported card ( Yellow means work with WifiInjector kext, Green means work OOB, red means unsupported, HMB cards are cards also have Bluetooth )Or you can use a wifi dongle which is supported by OS X, but it also has downsides like battery draining, weak signal or causing sleep issues. See more here: The right hardware for your Hackintosh I think i'll stick with Ethernet until Yosemite is released, so i won't buy a wifi card now and is incompatible with Yosemite.
