n810
Hi everyone! I'm familiar with OSX86 by just reading a few forum posts and what it is, in a nutshell, but haven't ever successfully installed it onto any device. Most of the issues I experienced were due to not having sufficient drivers needed and trying my absolute hardest to get it working on AMD processors that were just incompatible. I just bought a new machine and would like to get started on trying an installation. The machine is a laptop and HP, no less, so I already understand that the process will be more difficult but I'd like to give it a try anyway, even if I can't get all of the features working. I was curious what suggestions you guys had for a beginner, like myself, as to where to start. One of my issues now is trying to decide what's the highest OS I can install. Years ago, it was either Leopard or Snow Leopard, but I understand I probably can't install 10.9 Mavericks but perhaps I can go as high as 10.8 Lion? Where could I find this out or is this done by a trial and error process? My machine is relatively new as well so I may be a pioneer here. It's an HP Envy TouchSmart m6-n012dx running on an Intel Core i5-4200M CPU. I'm including a text file from CPU-Z about my PC's specs.
