How to enable Yosemite’s dark mode

I have installed 10.10 on my macbook Pro and run this command in terminal:

 

sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/.GlobalPreferences AppleInterfaceTheme Dark

 

​But after restart i don't see any dark mode sometimes i can see that the windows are showing black and not showing folders...

Any idea?

can you tell me what is the size of your GlobalPreferences file?

mine is 4k, just wonder maybe my file is damaged, can you please send me yours if you are able to switch to dark mode...\Thanks

haha..its OK I dont like it to but i like to see whats new and what are the possibilities of this new OS, BTW it is really FAST!

browsing is snappy, of course there are many bugs most of them cosmetic but i really like it!

BTW im using clover bootloader but it stuck on IOBluetoothHCIController message...with Chameleon I have no issues to boot ...just want to try Clover bootloader..it is faster than Chameleon...do you have any idea?

I use:

cpus=1 npci=0x3000 USBBusFix=Yes -v -f arrguments to load...

 

 

BTW! how did you changed the picture and information in the about window??

My RAM showing wrong speed, "0" speed of 32GB RAM...

Hackintosh build early 2014...:) Nice!

BTW, I used Clover bootload for UEFI...

Funny...I did the update but it looks like it still not updated...see attached...is there any terminal command to do update? I think i saw it somewhere...

 

OK found it : sudo softwareupdate -iva

 

updating crossing fingers :)


I think i will stick to Chameleon now...everything is working...still need to patch some stuff... :)

Have you installed the update for it? What is your software id? (About this mac-> click on "Version" where it says Version 10.10) Mine is 14A261i. if yours isn't this number, you need to use software update. Dark mode only works after the update.
